Clinical Q&A: What does microdentistry mean in modern restorative care?

ArticleMicrodentistry: Concepts & Clinical IncorporationOpen

Question: Is microdentistry simply dentistry performed with a microscope and very small burs?

Answer: No. It is a tissue-preserving philosophy: assess risk, control disease, remineralise suitable lesions, intervene only when indicated, conserve sound structure, obtain a durable seal and repair appropriate defects rather than automatically replacing restorations.
