Part I

There once was a town, very snug and neat,

Where cobblestone streets would meet and greet;

Laughter echoed with music upbeat,

Yet neglecting teeth was an everlasting deceit.

Children went to sleep without a brush,

Parents skipped the flossing in a rush;

Cavities crept in with a silent hush,

The once hardened enamel turned to slush.

A smile turned to a lopsided pout,

Overtime the pearls fell out.

Down the streets, teeth spread throughout!

It was too late to learn: oral health was paramount.

The lack of teeth was surely not in style,

Bread unsold from bakers without a smile,

Brides walked toothless down the aisle,

Nothing but gums and pure denial.

Part II

Then, overnight, something did shift,

The townsfolk awoke to a curious gift;

The streets once scattered with teeth amiss,

Now laid empty – what a twist!

At this point you wonder, where did the teeth go?

A strong gust of wind? A tornado?

I must share a treaty made long ago,

Please find the treaty down below:

Attention all teeth, you deserve respect

If you feel unchecked and face neglect

Rise above and take effect!

Let revenge (not plaque) be what you collect.

The teeth gathered, ready to ignite

Union of molars and incisors on site,

The army assembled, fueled by dynamite

They prepared to fight for their dental right.

Part III

With enamel swords and fluoride grenades

They marched on, a determined crusade

Wisdom teeth called to not be afraid

and remain strong, with faith unswayed.

With a vengeful grin, the teeth began their quest,

Attacking the mouths where they’d once been oppressed,

No mercy shown for the ones who expressed

That when flossing, they did try their best.

Toothbrushes hitting with a whack!

Floss lasso pulling people back!

Drowning with mouthwash, vision turns black!

The teeth were pleased with the heavy payback.

The townspeople cried in resounding fear

The teeth were winning, it was clear

They desperately needed a hero to appear

The question of who that would be, was unclear.

Part IV

As the fighting continued to unfold

The town had nearly reached its threshold

A figure emerged, looking quite bold;

White coat and gloves, the sleeves rolled

With much experience in pulling teeth,

The dentist knew this fight would be brief.

Holding forceps and a drilling piece,

She worked to make the fighting cease.

She whitened each tooth, until it shined

Placed fillings, leaving decay behind,

Carefully shifted those misaligned

And placed crowns for all she could bind

Townspeople cheered, their spirits soared

The teeth treated, peace restored

Before today, the dentist ignored

But now, the hero, they fully adored.

Part V

The town was shaken, they had paid a price

The dentist wanted to share some lofty advice

To ensure this event would not happen twice,

She believed the following would suffice:

So remember, dear folks, lest you forget

Treat your teeth kindly, no need to fret

For an army of teeth, you’ll never beget,

When dental care is a lasting mindset.

Brushing daily is required,

Floss until your arm grows tired,

Rinse until all food is acquired

Smile hard, so your teeth are admired!

Years later, the town came to be known

As the town with best teeth to be shown

For the people now understood, it wasn’t unknown

The importance of oral health, set in stone.
