Welcome back to DRDCA! DentalReach Digital Conference Awards makes a comeback this year with a very special theme – Sports Dentistry. At the end of the conference, you can try to become a Sports Dentist and cater to a special class of patients – sportspersons – which includes athletes, young children & adolescents participating in sports and sportsmen and women playing and winning in sports like cricket, hockey, tennis, wrestling, boxing, cycling, football, basketball – you name it! As Organising Secretary, I’ll be glad to give you an overview of the scientific sessions we have organised in this conference which will take place on 12th and 13th November 2022.

Since it is a purely digital conference, you can watch all lectures in the comfort of your home or wherever you are! We have curated 17 national and international speakers from all around the world for you and divided scientific sessions into 3 main types:
In the mornings i.e. 9am-11 am IST, we will have Keynote Sessions. In the evenings i.e. 5pm -7 pm IST, we will have an exclusive Masterclass and an interdisciplinary Symposium.
12th November 2022- Preventive Sports Dentistry/Pre-Trauma
Day 1 of the conference has a sub-theme of Preventive Sports Dentistry or Pre-Trauma dentistry, where all lectures will be based on how we can prevent sport-related traumatic injuries.
Keynote Sessions on Day 1 will include expert international speakers like Dr Thanos Stamos from Athens, Greece; Dr Stavros Avgerinos from Oberhausen, Germany; & Dr Priya Verma from Dubai; and excellent national speakers like Dr Swati Karkare from Nasik; Dr Mridula Goswami from Delhi and Dr Rajesh Raveendranathan from Bangalore, India.
Day 1 evening will be an exclusive 2 hour Masterclass by Dr Sneha Divekar, Sports Dentist and Faculty at Institute of Sports Science & Technology (ISST) Pune, India who will give an in-depth overview of all you need to know to start your journey as a Sports Dentist.
13th November 2022 – Curative Sports Dentistry/Post-Trauma
Day 2 of the conference has a sub-theme of Curative Sports Dentistry or Post-Trauma dentistry, where all lectures will be based on how to manage sport-related traumatic injuries in the oral and maxillofacial region.
Keynote Sessions on Day 2 will include outstanding international speakers like – Dr Jan Chithalen from Toronto, Canada, Dr John Haughey from Ireland, & Dr Vinay Kumar from Sweden and Bangalore, India; and dynamic national speakers like Dr Vivek Hegde and Dr Shail Jaggi from Pune and Dr Mallika Reddy from Bangalore, India.
Day 2 evening will be an interdisciplinary Symposium where we have invited speakers from other sports sciences and discussed their inter-relationship with sports dentistry for a holistic team approach towards the patient, like Sports Physiotherapist Dr Supriya Joshi; Sports Nutritionist Dr Geetanjali Bhide; Sports Psychologist Ms Damini Sapre and Sports Medicine Physician & Anti-doping officer, Dr Kiran Kulkarni; followed by a panel discussion.

Each lecture will be concluded with a Live Q n A session where delegates can get their doubts solved directly with the speakers. Dr Pallavi Mahajan –endodontist, poet and performer – will be your host for all morning sessions and Dr Sneha Divekar will moderate all the evening sessions.
