How to Choose the Right Dental Implant Clinic in Albania?

started 1w ago0 replies51

I’m researching dental implant treatment in Albania and would like to hear from people who have experience with dental clinics there. Albania seems to be attracting more international patients because of its range of dental services and potentially lower treatment costs compared with some Western European countries.

What should someone look for when choosing a clinic for dental implants in Albania? Is it better to focus on the dentist’s experience, the implant brand, diagnostic technology, laboratory facilities, or the overall treatment plan?

I’m particularly interested in understanding the importance of CBCT or 3D imaging before implant placement. Does a proper examination usually include an assessment of bone levels, gums, neighbouring teeth, and the patient's bite? For patients who need several implants, I assume detailed planning becomes even more important.

Another question is how to compare prices. Should patients ask for an itemized quotation covering the consultation, scans, implant placement, abutments, temporary teeth, final crowns, and laboratory fees? It would also be useful to know whether follow-up appointments are included, especially for international patients who have to travel back home.

The implant system and restoration materials are also worth investigating. Should patients ask for the exact implant manufacturer and keep the implant documentation after treatment? What questions should be asked about the crowns or prosthetic restorations and where they are manufactured?

For anyone travelling to Albania, how far in advance should the treatment be planned? Are there situations where several appointments or a longer stay are necessary? I would also like to know how people evaluate aftercare when choosing a clinic abroad.

I’m currently comparing different providers in Tirana and looking at their treatment information, experience, patient reviews, technology, and international-patient services rather than choosing based solely on price.

One clinic I’m also researching is Andent Dental Clinic in Tirana, particularly its dental implant treatment information:
