Learning Right Bite, DentalReach Style! Our Experience of DR Clinical Series 1

The DentalReach Clinical webinar series is an excellent opportunity for dental professionals to learn from the best in the field and gain valuable knowledge and skills that they can apply in their practice. The series is also an excellent networking opportunity for dental professionals to connect with their peers and build lasting relationships.

We recently concluded our first clinical webinar series on “ Right Bite: Harmony between Esthetics and Function.” and we are glad to share the experience.

Overview of DR Clinical Series 1:

The series was designed as a comprehensive educational resource for dental professionals who are committed to providing their patients with the highest quality of dental care. The series featured six webinars that delve into various aspects of achieving the right bite and harmonizing esthetics and function in dental treatment.

The first two webinars in the series, "Smile Rehab Strategies – Part 1" and "Smile Rehab Strategies – Part 2," focus on the various strategies and techniques for rehabilitating the smile. The cases and live patient experiences shared by the mentor were a cherry on top.

The third webinar was on the topic of, “Deprogrammers – Using What We Have!” We often face problems in clinical practice due to added cost of deprogrammers and patient compliance is another major issue. Dr.Deepa beautifully explained in the series how we can still deprogram the patient without any extra appliance.

The fourth webinar focused on “ Selective FMR – Is that even possible?”. FMRs are known to break the bank and are one of the most difficult treatments to get converted into clinical practice. The webinar explained how an FMR can be done in a selective and conservative manner.

The fifth webinar of the series was on the topic of “Complex Occlusion – Let’s be Precise!” We often face a dilemma in our clinical practice where the patient wants to get fixed teeth but he is not the candidate for an FPD / implants. The webinar explained in detail how precision attachments can be a great solution in such scenarios.

The sixth and final webinar was based on the topic “Customising Occlusion – When, Why and Where and How?”. This concluding webinar explained how we can customize occlusion selectively when we have issues like a rotated premolar or an intruded opposite tooth.

Overall, the series touched the lives of over 1000+ dentists. With a focus on providing practical and evidence-based solutions for achieving optimal occlusion, our expert speaker also shared her insights and experience which made the series very easy to understand and apply in clinical practice.

Dr. Rockson's unique skill set enables him to create visually stunning and engaging content that leverages the latest technological advancements in the field.

Promotion & Registration Incharge: Dr. Zainab Kasid

Spearheading all promotional activities, Dr. Zainab is the soft-spoken Media & Promo Head at DentalReach. She efficiently handled all the promotional materials to be sent across all our social media channels for the DR Clinic Series. Committing 6 months of her time to back-end moderation, she also managed queries regarding registrations.

Special magazine issue in charge: Dr Nupur Shrirao

Dr. Nupur Shrirao is a highly qualified prosthodontist and dental professional with a BDS and MDS degree under her belt, along with a prestigious FAAD certification. She is the Chief Editor of DentalReach, a renowned publication in the field of dentistry. Apart from her successful career in dentistry, Dr. Shrirao is also the co-founder of the well-known Dr. Surjit Singh Eye & Dental Clinic located in Chandigarh Tricity, India. She is known for her attention to detail and her passion for grammar, earning her the nickname "grammar Nazi." In her free time, she enjoys performing on stage and working as a radio jockey for All India Radio.

Mentor: Dr Deepa Ravichandran

Dr. Deepa Ravichandran is a Prosthodontist in Navi Mumbai, where
she has run a successful private practice, under the helm of "Dental
Park". She has won awards at both State & National level, in her
Master
’s Program, for both Paper as well as Poster presentations.
She has many publications in Indexed Journals, Guident, Famdent,
JIDAT to name a few.

Her Forte Lies in Full Mouth Rehabilitations, Smile designing restoring cases of complex occlusion conservatively. She has always believed in practical dentistry rather than picture-perfect dentistry and so were the teachings in her webinar series.

Moderator: Dr Urvashi Tanwar

Dr. Urvashi Tanwar is an enthusiastic, passionate, and career-oriented individual. She pursued her masters in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics where she secured 2nd rank in Karnataka. She has won various awards at national and international conferences and regularly writes for various dental magazines publishing her cases. She is trained in Biomimetic Dentistry and strives to save every tooth that comes her way to the best of her abilities.

Team Experiences: Preparation & Execution

Preparation:

• The team started by brainstorming the topics and type of content for the series, based on the objective of providing practical and evidence-based knowledge while covering each subject in detail.
• An expert speaker, Dr.Deepa Ravichandran was identified and invited to participate in the series.
• A detailed plan was created, including the schedule, format, and technical requirements for the webinars.
• The team worked on creating promotional materials to spread the word about the upcoming series and encourage registrations.

Execution:

• The webinars were conducted over a period of several months, with each session focusing on a specific topic related to the interplay between esthetics and function in dental treatment planning.
• Our speaker shared her insights and experience and engaged in Q&A sessions with the attendees.
• Our moderator Dr.Urvashi made sure that all the questions were answered and made the entire series lively with her smile and enthusiasm.
• The technical team ensured that the webinars ran smoothly and that any technical issues were quickly resolved.
• Attendees were encouraged to provide feedback on each session, which was used to make improvements and adjustments as needed.

Overall, the team had a positive experience working together to plan and execute the clinical webinar series. Despite the challenges posed by the virtual format, the team was able to provide a high-quality educational resource to dental professionals with the help of our speaker Dr.Deepa Ravichandran and our moderator Dr.Urvashi Tanwar.

The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. We are proud of what we were able to accomplish together and look forward to future collaborations.
