What This Product Is

Beta Diamond offers diamond blades for precision sectioning in two types. Industrial blades are the more economical choice where precision cutting is not essential. Scientific blades are for precision sectioning and carry a high diamond concentration for clean, accurate cuts with minimal specimen damage. Both are available in a wide range of sizes.

Intended Use in Metallography and Petrography

Used for sectioning specimens before mounting and grinding — cutting samples to size while minimizing the damage introduced into the cut face. Selected when:

• Cutting metallographic or petrographic specimens to size

• Choosing between economical (industrial) and precision (scientific) cutting

• Matching blade size to the saw and specimen
