- predictable restoration or change of a tooth’s emergence profile
- a shape which allows for injection/placement of composite into the embrasure without fear of leaving an overhanging margin
- a mylar finish which leaves the interproximal composite smooth, properly contoured, with healthier soft tissue due to less biofilm growth
- a shape that creates firm stabilization and full marginal seal when seated into the sulcus.
Diamond Wedges are included in the kit. Their use is not necessary in some Bioclear anterior treatments, primarily in cases where there is a natural contact still present. However, Diamond wedge use can be an important asset in many cases. For deep class III’s and diastema closure cases where there is no natural contact in the enamel, Bioclear recommends the use of the delayed wedging technique. Delayed wedging is taught in the Bioclear anterior certification classes or can be found on youtube by clicking this link.
