Zygomatic implants provide an established treatment option for selected patients, potentially avoiding extensive bone augmentation procedures.
Due to the complex three-dimensional anatomy of the midface and the proximity of important anatomical structures, accurate planning and controlled implant positioning are essential. This theoretical-practical course explores the application of guided surgery in zygomatic implant rehabilitation, with a particular focus on the complete digital workflow. Participants will examine the integration of CBCT/DICOM and intraoral STL data, virtual implant planning, surgical guide selection and guided drilling protocols.
Through theoretical education, complex clinical case discussions and a live surgical demonstration, participants will follow the workflow from diagnosis and digital planning through surgical execution and immediate loading considerations.
Course Focus:
- Understand the indications and patient-selection criteria for zygomatic implant rehabilitation
- Evaluate the three-dimensional anatomy relevant to zygomatic implant placement
- Understand the integration of CBCT/DICOM and STL data within a digital planning workflow
- Plan appropriate zygomatic implant trajectories according to anatomical and prosthetic considerations
