A virtual dentist convention for the year 2021 was conducted by the Indian Dental Association, Bangalore branch in association with Government Dental College and Research Institute, Bangalore on 26th August 2021, Thursday at Ramachandra Auditorium.
New ideas, technologies, and studies were discussed by some of the eminent personalities in the dental fraternity. Dr.Ganapathi was the Chief Guest for the event while Dr.Sudhakarwas the Guest of Honor. The program was supported by Indian Dental Association, Oral-D, and Group Pharma.
The program started with the Invocation and Welcome address which was followed by the Lighting of Lamp. There was a speech by the honorable dignitaries, felicitations, and some very educative lectures.
The scientific sessions included lectures on various topics from current trends in dentistry to technological advances and pharmaceutical developments.
The 1stlecture on the topic of ‘COVID-19 and periodontitis: Possibility of an association’ was taken by Dr.Janitha S, Associate Professor at GDCHRI, Bangalore.
The 2ndlecture was by Dr.Ropa K.R who is a Senior Radiologist by Oral-D on the topic of ‘ CBCT in Endodontics'.
The 3rdlecture was on the topic of ‘Role of 3-D printing in Dentistry' by Dr.Anoop Nair, Associate Professor at GDCRI-Bangalore which was followed by a lecture on ‘Pharmaceutical trends' by Mr.Sunil Chiplunkar of Group Pharma.
The programme was a perfect amalgamation of knowledge, literacy and learning which was concluded by a Vote of Thanks.
