A publishable dental case report should add a clear educational message: an unusual presentation, diagnostic challenge, unexpected complication, novel application or clinically important variation. It also requires complete documentation, an explicit timeline, appropriate investigations, treatment rationale, outcomes, patient perspective where relevant, informed consent and transparent discussion of limitations. Novelty alone is insufficient if the clinical lesson is unclear.
