Ecuador Introduces Aldo, the First Dental Assistant Dog, Easing Children's Anxiety at the Dentist
Ecuador, June 15, 2023 - Parque Dental, a dental practice in Ecuador, has found a remarkable solution to alleviate anxiety and fear among children during their dental visits - Aldo, the country's first certified dental assistant dog.
Recognized as an emotional assistance dog after receiving certification in the United States, Aldo spends his days working with young patients at the clinic. With his friendly demeanor and repertoire of tricks, the adorable puppy creates a stress-free environment, helping children feel at ease and fostering a sense of trust between them and the dentist.
From offering a warm greeting to entertaining the kids, Aldo's presence promotes a calm atmosphere throughout the dental experience. He even accompanies children to the dentist's chair, allowing them to pet and interact with him while receiving their treatment. The goal is to cultivate a sense of tranquility, comfort, and overall well-being during dental procedures.
