Celebrating Dental Excellence at Yenepoya Dental College!
Mangaluru witnessed a momentous occasion as Yenepoya Dental College hosted the prestigious Dr B. H Sripathi Rao Gold Medal Award Ceremony on June 14, 2023. Held in the magnificent Yenepoya Dental College Auditorium, this event commemorated exceptional achievements in dentistry.
Dr Priyanka Mhamunkar was honored with the Dr B. H Sripathi Rao Gold Medal for her remarkable performance as the Best Outgoing Post-graduate student in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Additionally, Dr Sunaina M received well-deserved recognition with the undergraduate medal.
Notably, the ceremony also applauded the subject toppers from various dental undergraduate disciplines, highlighting their dedication and outstanding accomplishments.
Under the warm welcome of Dr Sham S. Bhat, the esteemed Dean of Yenepoya Dental College, attendees were enlightened by Dr Jagadishchandra, Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, who provided insights into the significance of the award. The felicitation of the awardees was graciously conducted by Dr M. Vijayakumar, Vice Chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), and the meritorious students' names were announced by Dr Maji Jose, Vice Principal of Yenepoya Dental College.
Our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr B. H Sripathi Rao, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the students and motivated them to strive for ongoing learning and excellence. Dr. Laxmikantha Chatra, Principal of Yenepoya Dental College, presided over the function with grace, while Dr Hassan Sarfaraz, Vice Principal, delivered a sincere vote of thanks.
The presence of distinguished personalities, including Gangadhara Somayaji, Registrar of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), and Dr Akhtar Husain, Director of the Center for Craniofacial Anomalies, added prestige to the event. Dr Varsha Upadya skillfully compered the award ceremony, ensuring a smooth and memorable experience.
